Rainbow of Books Challenge for Bout of Books!

Bout of Books

Welcome to my Bout of Books challenge! It’s Friday, finally! I hope your reading has been going well so far! After this long week of reading, we now have the weekend to finish up any more of our goals. Who else is excited for a great reading weekend? Now, onto the challenge to kick it off:

Rainbow of Books

Here’s your challenge: Create a stack of book spines from your bookshelf, or post pictures of the covers, that go in rainbow order, like so:

rainbow

So, you start with white on the bottom, then red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo (purple), violet (like a darker purple), and then black! The spine should have at least a majority be the color you are looking for, but just use your best judgement to get the rainbow-like flow. The books I used to build this were:

  • The Eye of Minds by James Dashner (black)
  • Cress by Marissa Meyer (violet)
  • Wither by Lauren Destefano (purple)
  • Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins (blue)
  • Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi (green)
  • Sabotaged by Margaret Petterson Haddix (yellow)
  • The Wednesday Wars by Gary Schmidt (orange)
  • Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier (red)
  • An Abundance of Katherines by John Green (white)

Then, just link up your blog post, tweet , or facebook post with your beautiful book color rainbow attached for all to see or leave a comment!  Happy reading! 🙂
